Many different, exquisite, dark red fruits and berries have been mixed with bright cornflowers and ennobled with pink freeze-dried strawberries. Some apple and papaya pieces give a tender sweetness to the full, luxurious infusion. The smell of the fresh, exotic flavor reminds of ripe mangos, mellow peaches and other fruit treasures of Mother Nature. Due to intensity and strength, these flavors refresh with both, their smell and their taste. On hot days, this fruit tea is ideal as a cold drink or an ice tea!

Ingredients: elderberries, hibiscus blossoms, apple pieces, papaya cubes (papaya, sugar), currants, rose hip peel, flavoring, black currant, blueberries, freeze-dried strawberry pieces, cornflower blossoms.

Serving Size: 1-2 level tsp./6oz serving

Brew Temp: 203 to 212 degree F

Brew Time: 10 to 12 Minutes

Well dang – again – a tea that is riddle with hibiscus flavor and fails to impress. I am so disappointed at this point I am done ordering ANYTHING that has hibiscus in the ingredient list unless I have heard from others that FOR SURE the hibiscus does not take over the whole tea!
I should have read the other tasting note BEFORE ordering my fault.


I almost got this to cold steep but it looked so full of hibsicus I changed my mind!

Additional notes: ICED This is the first iced tea I tried! I took a mason jar with a lid, put three teaspoons of this in, and filled it with water, stuck it in the fridge a few days. When it’s time to drink, I pour it through my mug (with a bit of sugar added) with the infuser, so it filters out the leaves. The mason jar makes about two mugs this way. As I was pouring the water into the leaves, the color was instantaneously a deep purple.. so I was worried about the hibiscus but the flavor is pretty good! The hibiscus is cut down rather than when it is hot, so that’s a plus. I can actually taste the apple and the papaya. This is a good way to used my hibiscus blends then. Here goes some crazy amounts of iced tea then… it’s hot out though!

1060 tasting notes

I had high hopes for this one, but I am not a fan. I added sugar to the tea while it was still hot and then let it cool to room temperature before pouring it over ice. Even with the sugar this tea is incredibly tart. Mouth puckering, eye twitching, shivers-down-the-spine tart. Not something I’ll seek out in the future.


If you still have more, you should try it iced — I noticed recently it cuts the hibiscus WAY down.


I tried it iced, and it was still incredibly tart. Maybe I’m a Hibiscus wimp. :p


No I probably just brewed it differently than you did…

Holy Hibiscus, Batman!
I happen to like hibiscus. A lot. And I think there is too much hibiscus in here. In fact, I really didn’t taste much else.
If I’m in the mood for something bitter and fruity I will actually make this again, but that said, it’s not at the top of my list.

I made this iced last night and drank it with a spicy dinner – it was everything I had wanted out of an iced herbal – I brewed it with a little sugar – it was slightly sweet and VERY tart.

After trying this tea I must agree with the other tasting notes here. The look of the tea isn’t as lovely as in the photo, but I have found that to be the case with most ESP Emporium teas. It has very tart notes, but even still is not unpleasant. I can’t imagine it making a very enjoyable hot tea, but it makes a pretty yummy iced tea. I have tried it alone and also mixed with a basic black tea, which helps tone down the tartness a bit. The brew time seems a bit long in my opinion, steeped about 6 minutes is enough in my opinion.
