From Fortnum & Mason

British Prime Minister Earl Grey gave his name to this hugely popular tea back in the 1830s, and has since been thought of as a classic English afternoon tea. Its flavour is made up of simple black tea flavoured with stimulating oil of bergamot.

Tasting Notes
Our version of this ever-popular blend, created by our tea experts some 90 years after Earl Grey’s teatime debut. A refreshing tea with abundant citrus notes, it pairs perfectly with rich sweet or savoury flavours – from dark chocolate to spiced lamb.

It is a classic for a reason. I love this tea. The bergamot asserts itself just enough to compliment the bright base tea. It brews rich and flavorful and aromatic. I love this with chocolate and with any kind of cookie. It’s a wonderful pick me up in the afternoon

Earl Grey is my favourite kind of tea and this is my all time favourite brew. It’s completely unbeatable – the smell of the bergamont is very fresh, and the flavour is smooth and full. There’s also no bitter aftertaste which seems to be the bane of many earl greys I try. I prefer not having this overly steeped – it’s lovely just on the line between light and medium strength. It also really gives you a kick in the butt in the morning, which is kind of the point! I need to order myself some more of this – it really is delightful.
