organic green tea

Green Tea by four o'clock

Made with early spring tea leaves from Zhejang, China, this organic loose green tea is a sort of tea that has had minimal process, based on ancestral traditions. It is made with the small leaf green tea variety from south of the Yangtze river. A unique mellow flavor tea with a clean and refreshing character, imparting a smooth feeling with low astringency.

Ingredients: Organic wulu chinese green tea leaves.

To fully appreciate this delicate tea, allow boiled water to cool down for a moment. Pour over 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup and let steep for 3-4 minutes.

I never tried this because they’re always more expensive than the Ito-en/kirkland green teas that are always beside it…
But one time they had a sale I decided to pick it up. What a mistake.

It’s not so good. It turns sour/bitter way too quickly even if I adjust the water temperature, tastes more smokey like cheap Chinese green teas that I don’t like too much…
Not very pleasant… I’m chugging it down so I can go back to my old green tea…

Bof, vraiment, ça beau pas être cher, c’est du vrai thé en poche. Goûteux mais pas aromatique, vraiment correct pour la job mais sans plus.

This is not my favorite green tea. I find it tastes a bit like seaweed. But, I still make a cup every now and then, and it makes a pretty decent iced tea.

Made some iced, and mixed some chamomile-mint in for fun. It wasn’t a very good combination. Or rather, this green tea is just not good. I have to decrease the rating. Can someone tell me, does green tea have an expiry?
