I love Passion Fruit anything…and now I’m beginning to realize I really enjoy green Rooibos.
It brews a nice golden-orange-brown color. It has the flavor and aroma of passion fruit without all that acidity-which I like, but might be unpleasant in a beverage like this
It’s sweet & fruity, but tame. I will be ordering this.
It must be great iced with a little sugar for more body and a touch of citric acid for tartness?
Passion Fruit Punch Green Rooibos
This Passion Fruit Punch Green Rooibos has a simple and clean malty taste with a fruity tropical flavor accented with blueberries. Unlike standard Red Rooibos tea, this green variety is created by stopping the natural fermentation and oxidation process of the tea immediately after it is cut. This process is similar in how green tea is made and even has similar taste characteristics. Scientific and institutional findings suggest that Green Rooibos has a higher concentration of many of the nutrients found in regular Rooibos tea, including flavonoids, anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals. Modern medical institutes and most notably Japan have taken quick notice of the health benefits of consuming this beverage and have published their findings on Green Rooibos including the anti-viral, anti-spasmodic and anti-allergic properties found. This makes it comparable to green tea, without the caffeine. Some that may not care for the taste of the red version should give this blend a try. It is very different and lacks the distinct nutty character the red rooibos has.
