I’m not a ginger fan when it’s by itself, like fish sauce. So I knew I wouldn’t like this tea much. Still gave it a chance. Underneath the ginger flavor, the white tea was just ok. Just not inlove with it. Not bothering to rebrew…

I had high hopes for this one since I love ginger. I smelled the spicy scent of ginger. It just didn’t deliver as I’d hoped. The white tea was lovely enough. Otherwise just an okay tea.

Since learning that ginger is good for the days you feel a little icky, I saved this sample for such an occasion. Which means I’ve only tested it when I’m sick. Which means any hot beverage tastes good.

Ordinarily, I hate ginger. I think it tastes like soap. But it’s so subtle in this tea that I liked it regardless. Maybe it’s a psychological thing that it makes me feel better, I don’t know, or maybe there’s more ginger in there than I taste. But it’s slightly sweet, and gives a good kick to its white tea base.

Next time I go on a tea-shopping binge I’ll pick this one up. Who needs cold medication when you can drink tea?

Well that’s weird, the sent is more of grass. I was expecting a sent of ginger… I choose this tea today since my stomach is a little off.

Ok, where is the ginger? The taste of ginger that I’ve come to expect in anything labeled ginger is not here. (Now, I don’t really care for the taste of ginger anyway but how do I know it will work if I don’t taste it…)

This is a very mild tea. There is a hint of grass but otherwise, I’m just getting white tea. Although as it cools, the scent of ginger is there, ever so slight.

Oh, there is the ginger in the aftertaste, very much not strong. I have to say, if this tea works as well as the intense ginger ones at calming a stomach, I prefer this!

Wow, the second brew is so different. It smells distinctly of ginger and has a stronger ginger taste.

Figured I need to get some sleep tonight, so brewed this golden moon sample.

This tea is great. There isn’t really a very distinct smell to it and the taste is obviously white, but at the same time the ginger definitely cancels out the usual odd taste of white tea, making this a very subtle and calming tea. The flavor is not too strong, which is a major plus for white tea in my opinion.

It also seemed to be pretty tolerant of the water temperature, since I didn’t wait too long for the water to cool down from boiling before putting it in, it still steeped to a very nice yellow color and there is no bitterness I can taste. This may very well be a golden moon tea I’ll purchase more of, I can never have enough white teas for light night drinking !

This has a really good tea base, not bitter at all to me. The ginger is very faint but becomes more prominent as the tea cools. I woul ddefinitely welcome this as a regular addition to my cupboard.

I’d like a little more ginger, but knowing that the ginger is faint, I would probably drink it on days I didn’t want something really spicey.

I had this for breakfast this morning. Hot with just a little sweetener, it has just the right kick to it to start my day!!

I need to have this more often. Maybe iced?

A nice, spicy, stomach and nerve soothing brew. I enjoyed my sample of this so much that I ordered a cannister of it and I’ve been very pleased with it. It is especially good today following the Pu-Erh tea from earlier. I think it makes a great pre-yoga sip.

The white tea is gentle and pleasant. The ginger was not overly dominant, just a hint of flavor, but I got this tingly sensation at the back of my throat that stayed with me for a while after I finished drinking. I’m not sure if I like that or not. I steeped a second time and got a much heavier ginger presence, both in flavor and aroma. I think I like the second cup better than the first.

I’m not very familiar with white tea, so I don’t know how this compares to other whites, but it’s good.

Smells nice and there is a gentle ginger taste with an underlying sweet tea. I am not a white tea fan, I don’t have the palate for it. Even so, it was good in a very understated way.

I’m usually not a big fan of white teas unless they’re silver needle, but I found a whole tin of this while doing my tea cabinet clean.

It’s not big on ginger flavor — that would overpower the delicateness of the white tea — but you do get a little hint of it as an aftertaste. It’s just an OK, middle-of-the-road tea. I expected to like it, but it was just average for me.

Sample. Can definitely taste/smell the ginger. Is okay. I actually like ginger a lot in baked goods, but I think I’d prefer to keep my ginger out of tea. Unless it’s Chai!

I really tried to find the ginger in this tea—it just tastes like an average white tea to me. Maybe a bit of a gingery aftertaste in this, my 2nd infusion, if I focus. I like ginger alot, and I was looking forward to trying this sample. Oh, well—

Brewed 3 min. No additives. Drank Hot.
It’s named correctly. The white tea is surprisingly the dominant flavor with a under current of ginger that lasts though out and leaves a pleasant lingering after taste.
Golden Moon calls this tea “refreshing” and I really would disagree with that. But soothing would be a good word to use.
The flavors are balanced well and this tea can be re-steeped twice with absolutely no flavor loss.
