From Golden Tips Tea

A unique offering from the dooars or terai region in north-east India, a vast tea cultivation located at the floodplains or foothills of the eastern Himalayas mountains. This spring black tea is characteristic of light green leaves with a bright liquor in the cup, strikingly similar to spring Darjeelings. However, the flavor has a unique profile with fascinating woody notes and a slight astringency. The aroma is earthy and delightful. The strong lingering aftertaste of pinewood finishes with a mild sweetness.

Mmm, a smoky woody assam. Reminds me of a smoother version of a Chinese Lichee peel flavored tea I have. Nothing amazingly superior, but a unique flavor. Relaxing to drink slowly.
