First Flush Green Tip Darjeeling
This is an early harvest Darjeeling that has been lightly oxidized. It brews a lighter cup color and an overall younger character than the Second Flush Darjeeling. Hand-picked in March and April, these first teas of the season are as anticipated by the tea world as the Beaujolais Nouveau is by wine enthusiasts. Typical of a first flush, it has a subtle astringency and a muscatel-like bouquet.
