From Gong Fu Tea Shop

The Nilgiris (“Blue Mountains”) are situated in Southern India, a picturesque range of undulating hilly landscapes where black tea is grown at elevations ranging from 3000 feet to above 8000 feet. Nilgiri teas are relatively mild teas with mellow, light and clean liquor. It grows all the year round unlike the seasonal Assam and Darjeeling’s. This tea makes an exceptionally smooth iced tea.

Very nice! A light, tasty tea that is faintly reminiscent of Darjeeling but stands apart with its own flavor. Its taste is of a smooth, mellow black tea with notes of pine and a sweet blackberry finish. It leaves a slightly dry lingering taste on the tongue that, for me, is rather pleasant.

I received a sample of this from Charissa! Thank you for sharing with me.

I have had a few cups of this already and every time I am not sure what to write about this tea. It is mellow and smooth. It is a bit dry at the end of the sip. It is a lighter tea, but is not weak. The flavor fills the entire sip. There are no strong flavors that stand out, but it is well rounded. For me this is a standard black tea. (The flavor that I think of when I think black tea). As the description says I think it would be amazing iced. Hot it is amazing as well.

Nice description of this one, Tiff! I think everything you said was spot on. It is light, yet not at all weak—so full of flavor and delicious. I’m glad you liked it!
