I receieved a sample of this from Suziqzer. Thank you!

This was pretty similar to H&S Hot Cinnamon Spice. It was a nice afternoon treat.

Suziqzer

Wow.. you were on a mission of tea tasting today :)

TeaTiff

Some of these were from the weekend. Just didn’t get to log all of them:)

Suziqzer

Ok.. Gotcha :)

[Backlog] – I picked up a box of this tea because I had heard good things. It smells like Christmas right out of the box and seemed so promising! I noticed that it gave up its flavor and color quite fast. The cup was incredibly overwhelming with spice and sweetness. It’s the kind of syrupy sweetness that coats the tongue. I simply couldn’t get past a few sips. My brothers really enjoy this tea, though, so I happily gave them the rest of the box. I can see why this tea is a hit with some, but it’s just too strong for me!

Wow! This has quite the punch to it. Peppermint. Cinnamon. Licorice and there’s a sweetness that I’m not sure where it’s coming from….but I like it. This reminds me of a decaf version of Teavana’s French Quarter Spice Quartet. However the bottom the cup is tongue numbing cinnamon. It’s decent and I would probably pick it up in the store.

This is one of my fave teas to take on the go. Yums! :)

I don’t know from tea, but this is all right. It’s sweet…real sweet. I admit, I love sweet drinks but hate the lingering sour taste of sugar. This tea neatly sidesteps that by being perfectly sweet with no harshness afterward. The spice feels like one apple-juice-steeping away from Christmastime.

Don’t drink the stuff in the bottom. Yow!

Hi, Steepster was down all day for me and now, here you are, a new person with laser-eyes and ADD. I don’t have ADD but it feels like it sometimes. My brain doesn’t work quite right all the time processing info. Anyway, tea really has helped me! I hope you stick with this adventure. There’s more to it than you think…more than flavors and water. The people on steepster are very kind and friendly, willing to answer questions and help.

Thank you Bonnie! My lovely friend Claire told me you were one to follow, and she is never ever wrong about anything. I’m looking forward to drinking lots and lots of tea and maybe boiling some with my laser-eyes, and I would like most to taste all the good flavors, because I’ve been drinking much too much coffee for the last few years. I could use a little palate cultivation. And subtlety.

It’s an anti-depressant and has other qualities that are cool. Sometimes there is a sense of well being, called being tea drunk (but not really drunk) that’s good for you. Ask Claire. She was drinking some of my favorite tea tonight from Verdant.

Had this in the afternoon today & I didn’t want any caffeine. This definitely isn’t a favourite of mine, but honestly for an herbal blend, it’s one of the better ones in my opinion. That’s probably because the spices/flavours are so strong that they overwhelm any grassy/herbal notes (which are usually what kill any chance of me liking an herbal blend). I wouldn’t choose to drink this out of all the teas in my cupboard, but out of the non-caffeinated ones, it’s a decent choice.

This tea has a REALLY potent smell that’s almost all spice, and is balanced by the taste which is almost all sweet. It’s a great combo, and makes for a nice cup that can be steeped a few times if needed. That said, I think I should have steeped this for less time to smooth out the sweetness, as it was almost too sweet and makes you pucker up a bit with each sip. Definitely one that I can see myself drinking more of though, and especially on a cold and rainy day.

I don’t know what it about this one but I really didn’t like it. It was way too bland for me. I don’t know if maybe the one I had was old since all the other reviews are talking about strong flavors. Also the sweetness in it was really fake tasting to me. Also looking at the ingredients listed for this tea here on steepster is different then on the bag I had it listed artificial flavoring. I normally like honeybush blends but this one for me was just bad…

Theres alot of flavour in this, it is nothing like the smell… After a while all I could taste was anise seed, it was sweet, it was spicy but just too much anise seed.. I’m proud that i tried this because I really was scared of the anise seed.. It’s a lovely tea for the first few sips. That’s it..

A very sweet tea — the flavor can be a bit overpowering at times but if you don’t steep it for too long, a delightful cup.

Pretty strong for an herbal blend, can really taste the cinnamon and chickory. A nice dessert tea if you add a spoon of sugar (or in my case a packet of truvia) and a splash of vanilla soy creamer.
