A wonderful Orange Pekoe. Nice, medium-bodied, bright flavor. Sweet, honey-esque tones. Definitely not your grocery store variety Orange Pekoe!
This one is a goodie!

I had this sent to me by Gorreana after they caught wind of me whining about it on the SororiTEA Sisters page. What I didn’t expect was to receive so much of the stuff. In short, I adore this pekoe. It has a character quite like a Darjeeling OP but without the spicy overtones. That could be a good or bad thing, depending on your preference. I found it to be very balanced, sweet, and barely bitter.

There is a light orange hint to it or it could just be messing with my mind! Regardless I do like this one! :)
It’s semi-bold, semi-mouth-watering, and airy. Slightly bitter but in a good way…or maybe astringent would be a better word, but, regardless it’s tasty and different than I expected!
What a fantastic tea, from Portugal no less! I was very excited to try this European tea – I didn’t even know it existed until recently – and I was not disappointed. It is robust, rich, and flavorful. It is highly reminiscent of The Simple Leaf’s excellent Mountain Malt tea, but doesn’t become bitter when steeped for more than 3 minutes. I don’t feel that the flavor is lacking in any way.
It is great on ice as well, using the method I described in my previous post about Taylor’s of Harrogate’s Ntingwe Kwazulu.
Shipping took quite a long time, but they included an extra tea for me, so it’s all good! I will definitely order more in the future.
A rare aromatic tea! Visit www.gorreanatea.com and check out Gorreana’s single estate loose leaf orange pekoe tea!
very nice..good flavour..aromatic..will buy again
Very mild flavour, sweet and soft, and good to drink at any time of the day.
Tea from Portugal? Wow! I need to drink more of this before giving it a rating.
Grew up drinking Gorreana teas. My favorite and easy for me to get because my parents live on the island it is grown.
