From Greenfield

Spices add piquant zest to the composition of traditional English tea Christmas Mystery and refreshing citrus notes underline its festive character.

Decorated Christmas trees, fluffy green garlands over the entrance door, bright flickering lamps and distant tinkling of Santa Claus bell, marvellous aroma of pastries hovering over London – all this is magic of the Old English Christmas.

The British are true followers of traditions that they keep with greatest respect. For this reason Christmas night in England today almost fully reflects the description given in the middle of the last century by the queen of English detective prose, Agatha Christie. After traditional turkey with cranberry sauce plumb pudding was served and … “pies with almonds and sultana followed by Christmas dessert. Then husband and wife went for a little nap before lighting the candles on Christmas tree before evening tea”.

It has a perfumed, synthetic taste to it which makes me wonder if the ingredient list is accurate.

After ordering a box on Amazon without doing any research on it I am now left with 16 packets or so of it, afraid to use the rest lest they prove to be LETHAL, lol. Just kidding, but really, the taste is very off putting to me.

As far as Christmas teas go, this is definitely a miss and a huge disappointment. Skip this, go pick up Harney and Son’s Holiday Tea.

Now THERE is a tea that taste like Christmas… I did order the two teas at the same time, this one and Harney’s, so maybe I am just judging it so harshly because I am comparing it directly with Harney’s… which is, once again, FANTASTIC.

IF YOU NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS CHEER DURING THESE TROUBLED TIMES, CANNOT RECOMMEND HARNEY AND SON’S MORE.

Their White Christmas and Hot Cinnamon Spice teas are also fantastic as well.

Interesting black tea. Definitely has a “Christmas” taste, with notes of orange rind, cinnamon, clove, and some other spices.

At first the looks of this tea didn’t really excite me. But when I tried it I was pleasantly surprised! It’s sweet, with a little bit of spice to it and it’s great with sugar and milk! The only thing is that you have to be careful not to steep it too long, otherwise it gets a little bitter. I tried other teas from Greenfield, and I’m pretty pleased with this brand.

Good for those cold nights in the winter, or any time of day really. Particularly nice with a bit of sugar and milk.

Heard people say it tastes like Cola. It has cinnamon I think and yes, it’s really nice.. I’m going to make one right now.
