This is another tea I drank without marking its passing. I remember it being very green tasting, very grassy, which are qualities I prize in a sencha. It seems like it would have been a good tea for spring.
This deep-steamed sencha is fuller-bodied and sweet with very little to no astringency. The longer steaming breaks up the leaf a bit more resulting in a verdant, deep green cup that is exceptionally smooth.
Time: 1 min. (1st infusion), 10 secs. (2nd infusion), 1 min. (3rd infusion)
Temp: 160° Amount: 1 tsp / 6 oz. water
