From Handmade Tea

Gavati starts with a base of jade oolong from the Fujian Province of China. It is a lightly oxidized tea with beautiful floral and honey notes. A peppery black tea from the Yunnan Province of China compliments the base by adding an earthy flavor while remaining crisp. Finally, the lemongrass is added to tie the blend together, adding citrus-like notes and more hints of pepper.

WOW! I’m in Heaven! This is AMAZING! It far exceeded my expectations!
The Black/Herbal/Oolong Trio plays very well with each other!

The Black is mellow to medium strength with that malty-ness I look for in a black tea. The Oolong is sweet and juicy and incredible clean and crisp. The Lemon Grass is VERY Lemony and pure!

This is FAB hot or cold and I could see myself drinking this A LOT but I’m going to send the rest to my Sororitea Sister Liberteas as I think she will appreciate this very much as well!

WOW! YUM! This is Tremendous!

I pulled this tea from the T&C TTB today. When I opened the package, it was confusing to look at because I didn’t realized that it was a blend of black/oolong/herbal. Despite my confusion, I went ahead and steeped it at about 185 F for 3 minutes. Even though I am usually not a fan of lemongrass, the lemony flavor went well with the green oolong in this tea. I couldn’t really pick out any black tea in either the flavor or the smell of the tea. Perhaps it was just the teaspoon that I scooped out happened to not have so much of the black tea? Anyway, I can see this tea being good for when your throat is feeling sore. I’m glad to see that I can actually enjoy a tea that contains lemongrass.
