From Harney & Sons

All the good things that have already been said about this tea are true: cassis vanilla deliciousness.

Thank you, Sil. I was just waiting for the right moment, ie. when I had some tastebuds to work with and when I wasn’t flinging myself out the door in a mad dash.

Beautiful tea.

That’s a black currant vanilla Earl Grey? Damn, that looks good.

Daylon R Thomas

The Bergamot is light, Not quite an Earl Grey, but again, damn.

glad you enjoyed it :)

How do you add a tealog entry daily? If I drink PARIS tea every day, how do I log this each day? The forum says I must add a tasting note every day??? That cannot be. I have nothing new to say. PLEASE someone tell me how to “check in” when I drink a particular tea each day. Thank you!

This tea has an amazing aroma. It smells and taste soft and sweet. It is liquorice and flavorful. I am not a huge fan of black teas but this tea feels like a really treat.

I’ve been terribly busy these past two weeks working on papers, studying (I have taken 1/4 tests that are due this week, before finals next week), and Statistics assignments; therefore, I’ve mostly been brewing this oldie but goody. I’ll hopefully gather my sanity back next week, and will get going on reviewing more teas. Anyway, that’s it for now. Time to go crazy!!

This is the last of the Harney samples I ordered.

I think this is a tea that’s flavor changes each sup or even each sip. I’ve had it before and it tasted more caramel-y, and this time it tastes more like a spruced up Earl Grey Cream with some Black Currant notes. It’s also a bit tannic which I’ve never encountered with a Harney blend before, but I’ll have to try steeping for a shorter period of time.

Sipdown!

This turned out to be an excellent work tea, even doing well when I (repeatedly) let it oversteep (oops!). It’s shocking how quickly it went too – even if I did give a bunch to our tea-loving neighbors. The last time I got a 4oz tin from Harney & Sons it took me over a year to finish it off.

I think I prefer this one with creamer, but it’s not bad straight if brewed in cooler water. I don’t get a lot of berry flavor (if any) but I think it’s working to tone down the astringency to a pleasant level. The one time I did get berry from this tea, it was blackberry pie. Yum.

Harney & Sons Paris tea tastes like sweet caramel cream. It’s smooth and enjoyable. A tea that doesn’t lose it’s enjoyment after the first few sips. It is a good tea for people looking to get started in their adventures.

This tea was by the hot water urn at a conference, and brewed up nicely in a variety of mug sizes and sub-boiling temperatures. I snagged a couple bags for more controlled brewing.

At boiling, one bag in a pint, it’s a soft vanilla caramel with a citrus undertone. The bag tag says “Brew 5 minutes”. It’s good cold, too.

I took one teabag of this tea from the box a few months ago and decided to have it this morning. I think it was stale, though, since there was an unpleasant mishmash of flavours that I couldn’t identify. I wasn’t a huge fan of this, but hey, one less tea in the cupboard!

I enjoyed this! I thought it smelled like coffee cake when I first opened up the sample I got, which was from the almond extract.

Delicious, intending to buy more.

Edit: I’m wrong, no almond extract. Still tasty.

Glad you liked it, but no Almond Extract in this tea! c:
The flavors are Vanilla, Caramel, Black Currants, and Bergamot.

I stand corrected. I only bought a sample and I didn’t look closely at any ingredient list. Guess my tongue needs more training!
