Paris

Black Fruit Blend by Harney & Sons

Mike has enjoyed many a pot of tea in the famous Paris tea shops. In homage to the city he has created this blend, reminiscent of one of their most popular blends. It is a fruity black tea with vanilla and caramel flavors, and a hint of lemony Bergamot.

Not what I expected. When I opened the tin it smelled extremely of vanilla and caramel, the scent of black tea itself was virtually nonexistent. When brewed the smell was deep and strong, very perfume-y. It tasted of mostly caramel with a light vanilla aftertaste. I don’t mind the taste of caramel but it’s extremely overpowering and the taste of black tea itself simply wasn’t there.
If you like the taste of caramel, I highly suggest this tea. Otherwise, stay away.

one of my all time favorites and one that i always recommend, but it’s too overpowering to drink everyday. and be sure not to steep too long.

All of the Harney & Sons Teas are absolutely brilliant and this one is no exception! This tea really does taste like Paris (the good parts anyways :) ). It’s a fragrant Black Tea flavoured with Black Currant and Vanilla—it’s sweet, mellow and rich. To me there’s a pleasant Violet note as well.

This is truly an amazingly well done black tea blend. The smell is incredibly good, fruity with such a strong hint of chocolate. Brewed, the flavors dim a bit into a well-rounded black tea. Generally only drink PG Tips with milk, never a nice loose-leaf, but this is a tea I actually do enjoy with a dash of milk. I like a strong brew. Over all, it’s a great tea and I’m so glad I discovered it!

My wife and I got this tea on a whim and it has become our favorite Hanrey & Sons blend. The taste of fragrant berries and cream just perk you up with the first sip. Most enjoyable.

I’m not a big fan of this tea since there’s a lot of berry flavors that I just can’t seem to handle. There’s a hint of blueberries that makes the tea hard to drink to me, however the scent is quite floral and I’m sure the tea is good for other people who do not have a “I hate blueberry” stance in life.

This tea tastes like candy. Its the equivalent of a gallon of ice cream on a really bad day. It makes me smile just thinking about it.

Excellent, lightly flavored black tea. Great for afternoon company.

I don’t notice the caramel flavors that Harney claims in this tea, but I do taste the vanilla and bergamot. I think this is a lovely tea for anytime of day.

Just adding to a previous tasting note: If I had to pick one tea to have while stranded on a deserted island, this would be it. I buy this one every time I order from Harney and everyone I have shared it with loves it as well.

Still one of my absolute favorite blends. Smooth, well balanced and goes well with both sweet and savory foods. Mild bergamot with tones of apricot and vanilla – I don’t notice caramel at all, though.

I waited until I had tasted this tea several times. Its OK, but I’m not a fan. It is very fruity and floral, overly so in my opinion. I cannot identify any singular fruit or floral flavor, just that it has a perfume about it. I can see where others might like it, but its not going to make my order list.

It’s really well balanced. I’d expected lots of vanilla, but the caramel and bergamot flavors also came through. It’s definitely in the flavored tea category, but one of the most balanced and drinkable I’ve had.

My go to tea bag/sachet in wintertime. And my favorite, reasonably priced Harney and Sons. Although it has bergomot, it’s no Earl Grey. It’s far, far better. HIGHLY recommended.

Lemony citrus on the nose – something bergamot like, but not what I’m used to in Earl Grey. Lemon comes through on the palate, but is not at all over powering. Well balanced and refreshingly brisk. There’s a creamy, vanilla-y after taste that hangs around for a bit. I added some raw sugar this time, but will likely try without next.

Edit: Also makes a very good iced tea.

Got the sugar right on my third time having this. Just a little bit of raw sugar.

I’ve had this tea several times, but finally have it in my cupboard. Very flavorful with berry notes (raspberry?) with a hint of citrus. A delicious afternoon cup—

My favorite tea. Sweet, romantic, strong.

In reading reviews of Paris I found mention of Marco Polo (which I have yet to try), and thus learned of Mariage Freres. Recently went to the harney.com page for Paris and realized that when the item description says “In homage to [Paris,] the city he has created this blend, reminiscent of one of their most popular blends”, the popular blend in question MUST be Marco Polo!

This probably comes off as very circular. My point is that I love the heck out of Paris, and I’m in love with Marco Polo despite never having tasted it. I need to go to France!

I got this as a sample sachet when I bought tea from Harney and oh golly, I have to thank Harney for sending me this tea! The second you open the wrapping, the aroma that comes out is amazing. Black tea, slightly fruity, and the caramel flavour was lovely.
I usually don’t drink fruity teas with milk, but I drank this one with a veeeery small dash of milk and it was amazing. I was pretty upset that I only had one sachet. The next time I buy from Harney, I’ll definitely buy some of this!
The reviews on the cite does it justice. One of my favourites :)

I received this sachet as a free sample with my order. I was a little nervous when I opened the packet and overwhelmingly smelled fruit. But as it steeped the black tea base came through and the citrus became a nice accent.

This tea tastes very nice. The black tea base is strong with a beautiful fruit flavor. I can’t taste any of the caramel, but maybe that’s what is making the tea so smooth on it’s way down!
