Vanilla Comoro

Black Tea by Harney & Sons

So toothsome, so confoundingly delicious, Vanilla Comoro Tea radiates a softly sweet aroma and has a rich malty, yet light-bodied character. Vanilla notes swirl in each sip of this tasty decaffeinated black tea enhanced by creamy vanilla from Comoros Islands. It is a revelation of sweetness and silkiness, truly a wonder of a tea for the sweettoothed or calorie-counting tea drinker. Please note, this is a Decaffeinated Tea.

Hm. I feel like all the teas I’ve tried lately have tasted off, and this is no different. With my standard splash of milk, this tastes a bit like I put liquid coffeemate in it. It’s not quite right.

Currently drinking this. Accident steeped it for six minutes, so it is a little bitter. The dry leaf smelled a bit artificial to me, but brewed the vanilla is lovely, sweet, creamy, reminds me of marshmallows. Will definitely try it again, and will carefully watch the brewing time. Next time will add some milk.

I ordered this tea as a Tagalong (5 sachets) from Harneys recently. Even though the reviews were encouraging on their website, when I brewed it, there was a taste that I simply did not care for in my tea. Even though it is supposed to be vanilla, that is not what I noticed. There was another taste that seemed stronger. The description mentions malty, but that would not be how I would describe it. Usually I love anything vanilla, but this is different. It is silky and smooth, but I left half the cup sitting there, not wanting more. My daughter liked it better than I did, but she isn’t exactly begging for a second cup either.

I really enjoyed this one. The first few sips (plain) had a rich malty vanilla flavor that was begging for cream and sweetener. After the additions I had a cup that was indistinguishable, in taste and appearance, from coffee (sans aftertaste) with vanilla creamer.

The vanilla flavor of this is lovely. There’s absolutely no tea flavor, but it’s a nice smooth vanilla drink when I crave vanilla.

This stuff is delicious. No sweetening needed. Great tea to wind down from a hectic day.

One of my absolute favorite decaf teas. Lovely vanilla dessert type smell, great with sweetener added, milk optional.

Tea of the evening……

I have forgotten how good this is. It really is the perfect evening tea. I did have to shorten the brew time due to the fact it is a decaf and a little more finicky than a regular black tea….too long of a steep and it tends to go a little bitter, just like most decaf blacks. The vanilla and the decaf base seem to work together so well that you hardly know it is a decaf. Bliss, and part of that is knowing that this tea won’t keep me up later than need be.

Teapot method with a 3 minute steep.

….plus peppermint. Ha, I have not logged this one in a while. Tea of the evening…..

I needed something with a little flavor, no caffeine, and a little peppermint to settle the tummy. This worked out marvelously. I added a scant tsp of peppermint to the brew of a normal pot of Vanilla Comoro. Perfect.

24 oz teapot, 4 1/2 actual tsp Vanilla Comoro, 1 scant tsp peppermint, freshly boiled water, 3 minutes. Lightly sweetened.

Vanilla Comoro plus Peppermint

A little under the weather this evening. Tea sounded really good, and I knew mint would help settle my stomach. I had a craving for black tea rather than the ‘winter candy decaf green’ I would usually drink in this place. So I added a scant tsp of Peppermint Tea to my pot of Vanilla Comoro before brewing. It was perfect, and just light on the mint. Settled the stomach, and I know that caffeine will not be keeping me awake tonight.

This was my tea of the evening at my knitting group meeting. I took it in sachet form, as I keep a small tin in my purse for tea emergencies, and it is so convenient. And all of my fellow knitters call me the resident tea pusher of the group……

Perfect as always. Sweet, with a warm, creamy vanilla scent and flavor. Yum! The sachet was definitely good on a resteep. I am sure it was a 12 or 16 oz cup, too.

My evening cuppa…..after reading that so many people loved this on ladykittycat’s log, I had to brew me a cup straghtaway! It was very good with Trader Joe’s Cat Cookies for People!

My tea for this evening. Any cup of Vanilla Comoro is a good one. Rich, creamy, and decadent. All that and no worries of caffeine, or calories. Perfection.

Today’s evening tea….this one is hard to beat. I have seen recommendations for the resteep, and I am on it in about 5.

Yesterday’s evening cuppa at a friend’s. This one is always good. Very reliable. Won’t keep me awake….and delivers a hot steamy cup of vanilla goodness.
