I really enjoy this one. It’s lovely to look at, it smells wonderful and tastes delicious. Very sweet citrus, not bitter, and floral mixed in. A very uplifting and yummy green tea!

I would like to restore some balance in my cupboard by extending my Green Tea range, however I find most I try way too vegetal for my liking .. So I was nervous yet open-minded and hopeful when I tried this sample ..

I cut open the triangular sachet (silk bag) to get a better look at what was in this blend .. Can easily identify the Green Tea Leaves, Calendula Petals (and a seed for that matter), Blue Cornflower Petals, Citrus Peel (great big chunks!) , and possibly Rose Petal ? There’s also some other outer-husky ‘straw like’ bits, stems possibly? .. And I’m not sure about the rest ..

Unfortunately even brewing this at a lower temp and for less amount of time than suggested left me with such an astringent brew that I had to sweeten with honey to drink ..

Second steep gave similar results so this is definitely not for me .. Hence I’m not going to rate it as it doesn’t seem fair ..

Froot Loops. It smells like Froot Loops. It tastes like Froot Loops. It’s Froot Loops in tea form. If I liked Froot Loops better, I may have liked this one better.

It’s drinkable but not one I’ll be ordering more of.

I found this on clearance at Target. I can recommend it if you like Lady Gray teas with flower flavors that attack you. Sometimes I’m in the mood for that.

These pyramidal bags contain some dark green, matte, curled up leaves that I will call large pieces. They also contain some large chunks of dried lemon peel and dried petal pieces.

The aroma in the pink tin is strong. Not surprisingly, it smells like green tea, citrus, and roses. It’s pleasant and unusual enough a combination for me to keep smelling and trying to separate and identify the smells.

I brewed the tea for three minutes and poured it over ice. The color was a straw-yellow and slightly green. The room smelled like flowers. Fun! A big sniff over the cup is sharply floral, like something medicinal or like a cleaner, but pleasant.

Sips give first a floral aroma, then a floral taste, then a later and weaker green tea flavor. The floral notes in the aroma and flavor are different, with the flavor being more fruity. The tea flavor is bitter, which goes well with the flower flavors. There’s not much astringency, but there is a small sweet flavor in the aftertaste, with just some lingering side of the tongue bitter.

Finally finishing up a sample size of this that I got down at the beach last year. It’s such a nice light cup, definitely a tea I’d like to have more of on hand. A little floral and a little fruity. I think this is a good green for those who don’t really like green teas. It’s not too vegetal or overbearing. It’s just one of those teas that makes me happy inside. :)

A great change-of-pace green tea, Chinese Flower has just the right amount of citrus and flowers. Substantial but not heavy. I find that I am never NOT in the mood for this tea. Calming and slightly fruity, a nonoffensive taste that is usually a good bet for a visitor who isn’t sure what they’d like to drink today.

Thought I was looking at a black tea/flower mix when I opened it since I hadn’t personally ordered it but got it from Ashmanra in a box of tea gifts. When I saw the steeped color, I knew it was indeed a green tea, but decided to enjoy it anyway, especially since I had just dumped a one-steep-too-many purr-eh.

Light tea, and though I steeped it for five minutes instead of three, it was not bitter. I’d pair this tea with a banana muffin to increase the sweetness. That’s just me.

This smells AMAZING, but I think I steeped it too long. The taste at the beginning was a bit bitter, but it became smoother as I continued drinking. I look forward to trying this again, hoping that I can get the taste to match the incredible smell a bit more.

(Sample from silentrequiem. Thanks!)

Last night I received my Harney & Sons order which included several Tagalongs to try. I have traditionally been a black tea consumer and my experience with green teas is limited. This morning at work, I opened up my Tagalong container and from the moment the tin was opened, I was enchanted with the aroma of the blend. Visitors to my office notice the bouquet and admired the smell too. Adding hot water to the sachet just made it better and after watching it brew a few minutes and having the first taste, I feel as though I have a garden party in my mouth. It is wonderful. Someone else mentioned lemon drop candy, and yes, I agree, there is a taste of that with the flowers mixed in. At first I simply noticed that it was citrusy and floral and the longer I drink it the more lemon I taste. It is smooth, mellow and has body to the tea. The color is a medium to light honey color. Overall, I like this very much and will definitely buy more. I am not able to discern what the floral tastes are. I may pick up a slight rose taste but there are more flowers than that. The tea blend itself is beautiful visually and has large chunks of what appear to be orange peel, even though it taste more lemony. Yes, I will definitely add more to my cupboard of this blend. It will be among my favorites.

This used to be my staple tea when I was at work (Barnes & Noble carried it when I was employed there), and I would be so sad on days when we ran out. I love the subtle floral flavor of this tea, although the blend has a tendency to change time to time and it doesn’t always taste quite the same. While I love the stuff, I am very occasionally disappointed with it and would generally not drink anymore from the same tin.
