Dragon Well, or Long Jing  in Chinese, is one of China’s most famous Green Tea’s originating from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. This tea has a distinctive shape that set it apart from most other tea. The tea is smooth and perfectly flattened which is the result of highly skilled shaping in a hot wok with bare hands. The production process has been perfected in China by tea masters over centuries.
This Green Tea is very close to our top grade Dragon Well from Hangzhou, we can offer it at a better price due to it not originating from the most famous city (Hangzhou) for growing this type of tea. Taizhou is in the same province and only a few hours driving away from Hangzhou. Only very subtle differences in complexity make this a lesser tea compared.

Type: Green
Season: Picked March 21, 2017. Pickings after April 5 are considered lower quality.
Origin: Taizhou, Zhejiang province, China
Cultivar: Long Jing #43
Form: Loose leaves
Processing: This tea is roasted in iron pans, using bare hands for a better feel. Roasted within just a few hours after picking to avoid oxidation. This require years of practice to fully master.
