I just had a first experiment with my pre rain anji bai cha from jing tea. The package said to brew with 60°c water but i was to late to put the kettle off so i decided to brew around 70°c…

First thing i notice is that this got a very pale color. When i’m sipping my cup i taste no bitterness and a light floral/vegitable notes. Have to say its a very light tasting green tea… maybe i’m brewing it really to hot!

Going to try this again later today or tomorrow with the correct temp like the package said. But for now this one is a bit to light in taste…

maybe anyone got some tips on how long and at what temp u guys/girls usually brew this type off tea! Leave a comment if so thanks in advance!

A wonderful green tea, without the heaviness of a long jing. Got a nice couple of steeps in a gaiwan. Sweet, earthy taste.

I’m currently drinking the Pre-Rain Organic Anji Bai Cha from April 2011, and it is wonderful!

A delicious delicate savory flavour that carries the tell tale roasted chestnut aroma of chinese teas. Also has a wonderful vegetable note on the tongue as well.
