From JK Tea Shop

Yunnan black tea falls into the category of Gongfu black tea, which means it requires a lot of Gongfu(work/tea making process) to make this tea.
Our Yunnan black tea is from the traditional black tea making area-Fengqing, which has over 150 years experience to make black tea.

Yunnan black tea is well-known for its high freshness and sweetness. For such high quality, it has little or no astringency at all; hence there is no need to add some sugar or honey to compensate the astringency; but still, if adding some pure milk, then the taste is more smooth and mellow, I will never forget the mellowness of this milk tea.

This tea came directly from China and was certainly worth the wait. As an added bonus, they do sell samples.

The leaves are whole, and golden with a malty aroma. They are similar to the picture on the website. When brewed, the tea has no astringency. In fact, it had a subtle sweetness and honey flavor (and I did not add sugar, which is my usual habit). The peppery and maybe malty flavor that is typical of a yunnan was not present. This is not a bold tea so certainly this would not be an AM beverage but it is a nice relaxing afternoon treat. I am thinking I like this black tea (well how can I resist a tea that is naturally sweet…)
