We’re loco for Caramel Cocoa Loco! Guess we couldn’t decide what direction to go to with this one! Japanese green tea, Chinese green tea, Organic Rooibos, all mixed with a little roasted cocoa beans, hand crafted chewy caramel, and to top it all off, a little toasted sweet brown rice. Woo-Hoo!

Ingredients: Organic Green Tea, Green Tea, Organic Rooibos, Cocoa Beans, Caramel, Natural Flavors, Toasted Rice, and Marigold Petals, - Allergen Notice! Contains Dairy.

Man this is tasty tasty. I’s not overly sweet in your face kinda tasty, but it is delicious! I really like the flavour of this one from kally tea. the cocoa isn’t strong but it blends really nicely with the caramel. I also like that this isn’t a black tea :)

So this tea? This tea totally reminds me of the persimmon tree’s green caramel. Though truth be told, i think i prefer this version. This version seems to be less….watery? than green caramel. Maybe it’s the rice that i happened to notice this time around hahaha. Not honestly sure how i missed it the first time around. :)

Mmm still find this one quite tasty :) I like what’s going on with all of the bits that are in this one. Busy working from home while also trying to re-organize my teas cupboards. Figured i’d take some time to revisit a few teas that have been in there that i haven’t had in a while. That way i can figure out if they need to be swapped out or if i need to put them somewhere i’ll drink them more often :)

I sometimes get this one confused with Kally Tea’s “toffee and cream.” I have to say though, this one is better, though they’re both delicious. There’s something to be said about how this one blends together to have that creamy caramel taste. mmmm!

I am really liking this. Seriously, it’s good!
Have you ever had a really sweet, I mean naturally sweet, green tea? I’m getting that sort of caramel flavour here, along with another, deeper type of sweetness that extends throughout the sip.
In the middle, there is a slight hint of cocoa and the aftertaste? milk. Very milky.
Interesting, I really like this blend!!

I’m kinda over it. This was ok, but I didn’t really care for it over the other cup I was drinking. It was so plain, and a hair plastic like. Caramel? sure I got that to, just not enough. Ah well, time to move on!
Lowering the rating a bunch of points.

I figured it out!! this reminds me of Creamy Nut Oolong from Teaopia. Yup, they are incredibly similar! even though this is a green tea and the other one was Oolong. That said… In my mind they are identical but I’m sure if I compared them they’d be quite different.

I added a pinch of Darjeeling here. An interesting combo. I might try it again one day, if only because I can’t quite figure out the blend. The first infusion was your basic caramel cocoa loco with a hint of crips Darjeeling in the finish, but the second one is more of a smoky roasted oolong mixed with a white? very curious!
In tea class the other day, we were discussing that Darjeelings are pretty much an oolong, going by the processing definition. Seems it’s just the varietal and location that makes a flavour difference. So I thought… what if I mixed them?
Thus… here I am writing this note!

Well, didn’t drink as much tea as I wanted to today since I slept in quite absurdly, and then the boy was over… oh well. Decided to try this one out today, though, since I got my teas from our split Kally order yesterday, and all the girls had given it pretty good reviews.

I have to say that I concur! This is good, and different! I honestly didn’t pay it enough attention to give a solid review, but I enjoyed it quite thoroughly, and it reminded me of Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha… mostly in that it tasted like a flavoured genmaicha, which I apparently have a soft spot for. I can’t say I picked out caramel or cocoa, but I wasn’t really trying, either. It was toasty and sweet, and I’ll hopefully make a better note next time I try it! I’d recommend picking this up if you’re making a Kally order anytime soon and have no aversion to the ingredients in this blend. :D

ETA: I so apologize to you all for popping these all up to the top of your Dashboard again. I bet you’re all “Blah, there goes Kittenna spamming us again!” My apologies :( Anyways, I forgot to note that this re-steeped ok as well, though I didn’t try a third infusion.

Threw this in a travel mug this morning; it’s ok, but not amazing. I probably underleafed and/or brewed it incorrectly. It was a last-minute grab, when I couldn’t find a straight black that I wanted (didn’t want to use up a whole packet of Anxi Fo Shou black or something, couldn’t find Laoshan Black…. urgh my room is a tea disaster).

1.5 tablespoons of dry leaf for 375ml of water.

Detecting sencha flavour on the sip. Seaweed-y saltiness is present and slightly overpowering. Slight cocoa flavour and sweetness in the background. Very unique flavour combination.

As the tea cools, there is a creaminess to the taste and mouth-feel.

Thank you to Indigobloom for passing on some of this to me!

Caramel is the primary flavor here and it’s pretty awesome! Sweet, sugary, creamy, YUM!
The toasted rice is a nice addition. I like the pairing with the green tea and rooibos. The cocoa is a bit mellower than some of these other tastes but still present and accounted for. I tried a 2nd infusion and could pick up on the marigold flowers and less with the cocoa. Overall I really like this and it’s a marvelous offering! I’m eager to try others from Kally! I have to point out I really LOVE their website, too! Great design!

Mmmm, I’m really digging into the box of teas I got from Sil, & this one is very tasty! Thanks Sil!

Sil Sample Sipdown #1 (of the day)!
This is an interesting tea. The main flavor I’m getting is a toasty rice breakfast cereal, or a sweet rice crispy treat, with salted butter. I’m also thinking of a payday bar type confection, with the rich caramel center, only with toasted rice on the outside instead of peanuts.
It is tasty. Thanks Sil!
