Almond Fondant

Rooibos Tea by Kally Tea

Healthy nutrient packed Rooibos combined with almonds, mallow flowers and natural flavors create this cup reminiscent of fondant (or also known as Marzipan). Are we sitting in a South African Café? As you sip this flavor balanced Rooibos almond treat, it will seem as though you are. What a joy to drink either hot or iced. This Rooibos is a great accompaniment to any dessert delicacy.

I drank this one yesterday but was having problems with steepster. BUT…this was quite flavorful! It was Almond, Vanilla, Sweet, Cream, a little floral, a little sweet-woodsy, and a little nutty. I reminded me of another Almond Rooibos diddy I had back in the day but better! This is a winner for a flavored Rooibos!

Backlogging from Friday, I think…eeeeek! Sorry guys!

Also a SIPDOWN. See previous notes…

Wow, this is really good! I normally don’t care for the natural flavors of rooibos, but in this case, the natural nutty/woody tones of the rooibos work in this tisane’s favor. That natural nutty flavor melds well with the almond notes, giving it a deep, nutty flavor.

Overall, the cup is sweet, nutty, and has a pleasant creaminess to it. Very enjoyable.

First let me talk about the smell, it’s a whollop of marshmallow with a slight hint of almond. I can actually see pieces of almond in the tea which makes me think you could just eat this like granola. Tasting the tea is like drinking a melted almond joy bar. Sadly I do not like almond joy bar’s but this is my own bias and should not mar anyone else’s opinion, especially if they love almond joy. I know there isn’t any coconut in this but I am still getting a phantom taste of it somehow. This came as a generous sample in my kally tea order but I am not a rooibos fan. It’s a pretty unique dessert tea so I’m sure for some it’ll be right up there alley, not my thing though.

I waited a long time to write this up because I don’t like saying negative things, especially when I’m pretty sure that’s how it’s supposed to taste. I’d never tried rooibos tea before I ordered this.

I did not care for this, but I can’t pinpoint why. It just isn’t enjoyable. I tried the other rooibos tea in my package and have came to the conclusion that I just don’t like rooibos.

As a side note, I also discovered that I don’t like my tea infuser ball. It works fine, but my teas seems to taste better if I just put the loose leaves in my pot and strain them out after brew time is over. So I’m still learning, and if anything this review is a reflection of that, and not a reflection of the tea itself. It is probably fine for someone who likes rooibos to begin with.

If anyone wants some free tea, hit me up. I didn’t use very much.
