Morawaka Low Country Plantation Fresh Ceylon BOP-1

Black Tea by KTeas

Broken Orange Pekoe-1 provides the benchmark Ceylon color, may be considered the quintessential Ceylon tea. The pieces are leafy, not fannings by any means, and produce a cup that is beautifully balanced, bright, and crisp.

Delicious. I tried the Morawaka Ceylon FBOPF-1 the other day, and today I’m trying the BOP-1. These two teas are certainly similar in composition, although I noticed more of a caramel-y sweetness to the FBOPF-1, and more of a fruity/citrus-y sweetness to this. The caramel undertones of this develop as I continue to sip, by mid-cup, they are much more obvious, but still not quite as strong to me as in the FBOPF-1.

I also notice a fuller body to this than I did with the FBOPF-1. Other than that, the flavors are very similar. They both were smooth and delicious.

I did a whole pot of this tea this morning. It’s a mid-bodied yet burly low-altitude Ceylon – meaning a “flowers-with-chest-hair” feel. I can’t say I paid attention to the brewing specifics, but it held up rather nicely to my abuse and neglect. More-than-passable morning cup.

Another LiberTEAs surprise! Thanks Girlie!

This is a medium strength black tea that has a hint of citrus to it – naturally! There are also slight hints of a creamy-sugary taste to it much like caramel. It’s a very even taste – somewhat velvety – from start to finish! This is a nice relaxing, comforTEA!

Lovely and Crisp! Backlogging and SIPDOWN!

The first black tea I eyeballed this morning. Don’t really feel like functioning yet but I must…I need a day off…sigh…have to wait another month…Grrrr!

A little on the lighter side…

backlogging and mighty fine :)
