My daily cuppa..
I really wanted to enjoy the first (quick) steeping without milk, but alas, I gave into the seductive power of the creamer sitting on the desk next to me. Second steeping, straight, was fine.
Now I think my quest will be to find a really nice orange pekoe/breakfast blend that I can use as my every day tea without adding anything, something economical but of the loose tea variety for sure. Any suggestions??
One quick with milk, second without.. not great this time think it was the water
Needed something to wake me up.. but tastes better than coffee or energy drinks.. had to go with all of the above.
tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea …
Does tea keep you up or doesn’t it? My mom always drank tea in the evening. I hear a lot of my colleagues say they drink only herbal teas in the afternoon and onwards. Heck, my dad always drank his coffee at night.
So I brewed some of this my usual way, strong, with cream, and went about my usual business of sterilizing bottles, etc. Several hours later I was still watching old episodes of Conan with the wifey .. maybe the Ceylon Silver Tips that came afterwards had some effect ;)
First cuppa the marnin, wiff crm
Backlogged from late last night … what’s nice about tea is I find it can help you stay awake but it doesn’t keep you up if you don’t want to be – for me, anyway. Does that make sense?
My morning cuppa, nice ‘n’ strong, mmm
Straight this time in multiple short infusions. Unfortunately that meant not much flavour with each.. probably stick to strong with milk/cream at least for 1st round
About 2sp, first infusion with cream about 3 mins, malty/tasty as usual.
2nd infusion left in for a while and still not bitter, a very pleasant taste indeed.
Still impressed with this blend and I know why it is popular all around the world.
Without any cream, still very good!
