Not my favorite peppermint by far, but handy during the day. Hoping it does something to lighten a wicked headache.
Just curious — best headache-cure tea you ’ve encountered?

Christmas day, w00t! Merry Christmas, Steepster (even though it’s nearly 1 am here and that’d make it December 26th, but who’s counting?!)!
LOTS of tea given to me as presents today! My TeaGschwendner order and Harney & Sons order were sitting under my tree, wrapped by my mom. And the boyfriend suprised me with a bunch of stuff, including the Art of Tea Dessert sampler I was eyeing in the Steepster Select a few days ago! YAY! Can I say yay again? YAY! Super-over-abundance of tea.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to drink a lot today at all, since I was out for most of the day. But I did manage to have some of this peppermint during dessert time at my aunt’s house. Honestly, this tasted pretty much like nothing. No flavor whatsoever. I could have cared less, though, because I was eating my mom’s famous apricot tarts and my aunt’s walnut tarts, so it really didn’t make a difference WHAT I was drinking.
But much Christmas happiness overall!
I drank this afternoon at the office, trying to compensate for yesterday’s caffeine overdose that kept me awake half of the night.
It wasn’t great, not a lot of flavors. The little flavors you get from this tea-bag does not taste like fresh peppermint, but felt as if the bag was very old and had been forgotten in a cupboard for years (which is definitely not the case given my colleagues consumption of this brew). I’m sure a second cup with the same tea-bag would be extremely watery.
A very basic herbal tea, not bad-tasting, whose main advantage is that it’s widely available and rather cheap.
Stereotypical Lipton. Stereotypical Peppermint Bagged Tag. However, this specific one sure brings back memories of my childhood when my Grandmother first got me into TEA at the age of 3…so for that reason alone I will be scoring it higher than I normally would…teehee…or should I say TEAHEE
When I first tried this tea, I have to say, I concur whole-heartedly with one of the other tasting notes. It’s a stereotypical peppermint tea bag flavour.
It has a nice enough colour, and smells like peppermint, but when it comes to taste, this tea is pretty lack-luster. I am on a quest to find my favourite peppermint tea, and to be honest I probably wouldn’t buy this tea again. Perhaps, because it was only kept in cardboard it easily became stale, but I felt a little lost while drinking this tea.
Sadly, I feel like not a whole lot can improve this tea, and while this might just be a matter of personal taste, I’m hoping this isn’t a typical tea for the Lipton brand.
