I had a sample of this from Red Lantern Tea ebay shop.
It is a lovely tea, very fruity, pears are prominent underlined with a slight citrus note. There’s a hint of smoke but way back in the background. There is no bitterness at all. Mouthfeel is pleasand and quite thick. Chaqi isn’t very powerful and the aftertaste doesn’t linger for long.
Its a very nice tea for casual drinking since longer brew times didn’t mess it up at all.
2004 Longyuan Hao "Deng Xiao Ping 100th Anniversary" Raw Brick Pu-erh
Dadugang Ecological Tea garden commemorates what would be Deng Xiaoping’s 100th birthday. Inscription reads “Thanks to Deng Xiaoping for his contribution to the development of China”. An excellent brick from an established tea forest which dates back several hundred years. High grade leaves were used to make this brick. It totally lacks smoky flavor and is smooth when brewed.
