Gingerbread Rooibos

My brother and my mom gave this tea to me not too long ago and I remember being so happy to have a gingerbread tea. The large cinnamon pieces were a little bit scary as I usually do not like cinnamon in teas. This tea smells terrific! It’s very much a seasonal tea with heavy notes of cinnamon, ginger and bread. The baked aspect of gingerbread is present in the scent. Yay! I love it when teas created after baked goods actually smell (and taste) like them.

Sipping… this is like gingerbread in a cup! It’s not really like gingerbread with a ton of icing or powdered sugar, but a nice, warm rustic slice. I actually don’t mind the cinnamon too much because it blends so well with the other flavors. This tea is warming and so perfect for the holidays! Delicious!

This tea was really nice. It was light on the spice but blended well with the base. I drank my second cup of this with milk and sugar and it was a nice treat.

Excited for a gingerbread herbal in the Strange VariaTea TTB! Was very optimistic about this blend and it did not disappoint. It has a lovely gingerbread cookie aroma and flavor. Very much a keeper.

Inkling Advent Day 25. I’m really going to miss opening these teas from Inkling each morning! I got to try so many new things, and so many desserty teas in particular, I’m so thankful! I love rooibos, so this was a great way to finish the season. The gingerbread flavor is a bit more muted than I would prefer, but I could definitely tell what it was going for. It was nice sweetened with milk. This particular rooibos wasn’t my favorite, but it was fun and festive! For some reason, I found the rebrew to be much tastier and more gingerbready. Basically exactly what I was looking for from the first steep!

Day 4 ADVENT – GINGERBREAD ROOIBOS BY MARKET SPICE

My roommate and I opened up our little present this morning and she squealed with delight when she found out it was gingerbread – she told me to just go ahead and make the whole pot. I don’t like ginger, but this was a mild cookie like flavor that I liked, it wasn’t spicy, and overwhelming. It was nice and smooth. I had three cups and she had two, and we’re refrigerating it for her in the morning! Thanks for sending this!

Mmm, this is so lovely! I’ve had other “gingerbread” blends that burned my throat with too much ginger or overwhelmed me with their cinnamon kick, but this one is perfect. It actually smells like you’re baking gingerbread while its brewing and the flavor is pretty much spot-on: a warming blend of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and something bread-y that really makes it taste like a cookie in a cup. Everyone I’ve shared this with has enjoyed it, even those who aren’t really into tea. Almost done with my first 4oz and will definitely be re-purchasing for the winter!

What is this, a gingerbread tea? Oh man, you honestly can’t expect me to keep my hands off this one. Talk about a perfect seasonal treat! It smells strongly on ginger and cinnamon…now I want to bake some cookies:P tehehe..

I don’t know how they accomplished it, but it has the lovely baked flavor that you would find in an actual gingerbread cookie!! The tea leaves smell much sweeter than the tea actually is…which I do really appreciate. Gingerbread cookies are so delicious in their own right, they do not need to be slathered in icing and this is what the tea captures. I added a bit of milk to my tea and mmmm, gingerbread in a cup!
