What is Mate Factor Dark Roast Yerba Mate?
Our unique blend of Yerba Mate and roasted grains brews a delightfully rich, invigorating cup of tea without sacrificing the benefits of our fresh, Green Mate. Try with milk and your favorite sweetener.

Discover Yerba Mate
A treasure from South America now comes home to you. Yerba Mate gently sustains you throughout the day, combating fatigue and sleepiness. Its stimulating properties are long lasting and found by most to be free from the unpleasant side effects often associated with coffee.

What is Yerba Mate?
YERBA MATE is more than just an invigorating brew. It is one of nature’s best sources of antioxidants. In addition, a full complement of vitamins and minerals (including chlorophyll, vitamins A, B, C, E, magnesium, potassium, iron, pantothenic acid, and much more) help make a cup of Maté tea an excellent immune-boosting tonic.

Our unique fresh green, certified organic variety is neither smoked nor aged in order to preserve the bright green flavor and as many of the nutrients as possible.
We use 100% percent certified organic Yerba Mate, responsibly grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The Mate Factor is founded on providing a fair wage to the conscientious people in South America who provide our special Mate.

Box Art:
The old tea ship docked at port is reminiscent of the first yerba mate exports to Europe during the 1600’s when yerba mate was first made popular in European societies. With the collapse of the Jesuit communities in Brazil and Paraguay, the world forgot about yerba mate until its recent resurgence.

Smells like coffee and tastes like coffee, but it’s not coffee. This tea is playing tricks on my mind. I’m not sure if there is any advantage to drinking tea that tastes like coffee, instead of simply drinking coffee. Nevertheless, this is pretty good.

So far I’ve tried it with nothing added – good, then I tried it with milk – even better. Next I will try it with milk and a bit of sugar.

I am enjoying this, but it’s still weird.

This coffee like tea was in my health food store – I have tried other Mate teas and they just didn’t do it for me like this one does It brews up to look like coffee but it isn’t - It has a nice smooth taste and it needs no sugar or cream to enjoy - I was pleasantly suprised by how much I liked this tea - I will try the other ones they have It has a very smooth taste to it not bitterness at all - This is an excellent Yerba Mate - and it does give a mild kick to the day -- no jitters at all —
