From Mayaka

Sencha Japanese Green tea is the most commonly enjoyed tea variety in Japan. Our green tea leaves are meticulously cultivated during early summer to harvest the first flush of green tea, known as the highest grade of leaves. By steaming the freshly gathered leaves at very high temperature to prevent oxidation, Japanese green tea can preserve its rich color and flavor. Following the strict standards of Mayaka, our tea is of finest quality. Enjoy the exquisite taste of our Mayaka Sencha Japanese Green tea.

Had this tea this morning. The flavors were a little dull of me, but it still hit the spot for the morning. The japenese green tea is a great tradition in the tea world and a definite must for all tea enthusiasts. Like I have said before, the flavors weren’t as esquisite as I would have hoped. but still good for the morning :D

Funny thing about this tea is my friend wanted to sell the last few boxes on our Etsy account for https://realjapanesegreentea.com – I didn’t like it at all, so I told him no, I think they were incredibly old. I didn’t like it at all, no flavor, or better yet mild wild / no flavor I guess.

I can’t say I was happy about it, and I don’t know why they were trying to make us create a listing to sell this old tea to people to hurt our reputation. Very weird!
