Lao Cha Tou is formed during the fermentation process. The leaves under heat and pressure will clump together at the bottom of the pile and form nuggets. Cha Tou are little tea nuggets that are a wonderful byproduct of the fermentation process of Pu-Erh tea.
Lao Cha Tou is the most natural processing for making pu-erh tea. During the oxidation process, tea leaves will attach to one another and form a nugget as the result of heat and high compression. This will make the tea taste smooth and thick with a pleasant mouth feel. This tea can be infused 10 times easily.
