Ahh. Thanks to KallieBoo! I got to taste a sample of this. Okay, or 3 cups of it. :). Today was going horribly, ended up with me crying in the middle of a bank, but this tea was there to comfort me when I got home.

The dry leaf smell is a little underwhelming. Sweet and tangy but subdued, the green tea really stood out to me. I was a little hesitant making it because of the fact that I like the flavors in the tea. I’m not good with green tea, but KallieBoo gave me nice little instructions that helped me. Steeped it for 3 minutes at 175 degrees. Normally, I would have boiled it for about 5 minutes.

The color is a nice dark orange and again, smells more like green tea than any tropical flavor. I let this cool and threw it in the fridge for when I would actually have the time to drink it. Today was that time.

I was pleasantly suprised. It didn’t get great reviews on here, but maybe its becuase I like overly sweet things. It’s very sweet and a little tart, with more of the taste of mango than any other fruit. Reminds me of being on a tropical vacation.

Thanks again KallieBoo! You gave me my escape for the day :)

Was included in the Mighty Leaf Assortment pack.

Why there was 4 in the pack I will never know, this tea is not for me, it smells great and then when it is steeped it reminds me of when I was a kid and used to put grass, puddle water, and old apples into a bucket to make “soup” only to find it a few days later, rotten and stinking…

This is an ok tea with a tropical flavor but what I’m missing is the green tea taste to go along with it. The tea bag is really huge and I was expecting a grassy tropical green tea. What I got was a fruity tea with not much green. It sure looks like huge green tea leaves but now I’m wondering about the quality of the green tea base. This was bought at T. J. Maxx and was very inexpensive. There were 4 different flavors (15 bags) in the box and I really hope I like some of the other flavors.

Today was an incredibly busy day. I was hoping that after a super busy week, I would get to unwind a little at work with some Green Tea Tropical. I was wrong.

So to make up for it, I brewed up a pot when I got home today. It is very good and relaxing. The dried leaves smell sweet and fruity. The brewed tea is a green that is evenly blended with the sweet fruit flavors, neither over-powers the other making for a delightfully fresh cup of green tea.

Brewed hot, no sugar.

Eh.. I love fruity teas.. but this one just does not like me. It’s ok.. it has a fruity taste but it is kind of weak to me. I can taste a bit of the green tea, which isn’t so bad. Overall it is a solid ok..

I ended up with this because the waiter had no idea what he was doing. I don’t usually like flavoured green teas, but this was surprisingly yummy. Tropical, but not overwhelmingly fruity or flowery. It still tasted like tea (gasp)! I will definitely drink this again.

I purchased this tea to be served iced this summer, but for the first steeping, I decided to make it hot. It is an okay, flavored green tea. The fruity flavor is not overpowering. It has a slight dry/bitter aftertaste. I’m not getting any of the “vegetal” flavor the other reviewers were experiencing.

I am a huge fan of Mighty Leaf because they are the brand that got me back into drinking good tea, so I may be a little biased as to the teas I discovered first again. I really like green tea tropical. You can taste the distinctive qualities of the green tea, which I love, but it also has a sweet perfume and taste of tropical fruits and flowers. I think it’s delicious. And the flavor comes out even more, I think, when it’s cold.

I thought this tea was nice. Not brilliant, but okay. Then again, nothing will ever compare to the green tea I was given by some Taiwanese exchange students. So every green tea I try will have to be amazing to meet the mark. I didn’t get the “tropical” flavours out of this tea. But it didn’t taste “off” as some of the other posters suggested. I will warn you though, these leaves are huge when they were opened. I didn’t think that I used that many when I dropped them into my Libré Tea glass. But alas, when the water hit them I swear they took up half of the space in the mug.

In conclusion. Good tea. Will I buy again? Probably. Because its the second best to the Taiwanese green tea I had.
