I really like the base flavor of this tea which is going to make me want to go to Mighty Leaf’s website and check out some of their plain black teas. The pear caramel flavor is nice but a little too artificial tasting for me somehow. The caramel bits make it pretty sweet which could be a plus or a minus depending on your point of view. I went to their website and checked out the ingredients list and also discovered it contains milk powder which is a real bummer from someone who has milk allergies. Still, that is my fault since it clearly states on their website what’s in the tea. I should have checked the ingredients list It’s ok but definitely more of a dessert tea and not something I would have for breakfast too often.

This tastes exactly like the first monk pear i ever tried. Ive since been trying to find one similar ever since. and now i have.

I do wish i could taste the caramel more and that there was more of a sweet creamy taste. It is absolutely delicious but not what i expected or was hoping for.

Wow! This is one of my favorite new teas I have encounterd in some time. It is positively delicious. The black tea is a presence greatly enriched by both very smooth sweet pear and deep rich caramel. Again, I like to taste the tea in stages from very hot through the cooling stages and the more it cools the more you can taste the complexity of the flavors. Bravo Mighty Leaf. This one is perfect, something you will rarely hear me say about a tea.

Thumbs up, but barely. The pear is too mellow for me, and the caramel doesn’t lend enough sweetness to this tea to make it a true after-dinner dessert tea. Good, but not great.

Steeped for a little longer in a little hotter water today, and the taste and aroma definitely improved. Still not a strong flavor, but the caramel comes through in the aroma and helps to mellow out the flavor. I wish the pear was stronger, but it’s growing on me.
