From Miletea

Green tea is the most popular tea worldwide, being primarly produced in China and Japan. Miletea’s founder, Heinrich Tremblay, went deep into the Ninbgo mountains of China to find this fine green tea. We’re the only ones in North America to offer the tea of this small tea farm discovered therein. You can recognize the fine quality of our green tea, which contains exclusively the top two tender leaves and an unopened leaf bud, qualities highly prized by most tea aficionados. The reason we chose handrolled tea from all the other varieties of green tea available is quite simple: it keeps the tea fresher longer. It’s also pan-fired, which fixes the leaves oxidation state, preventing them from becoming black or oolong teas with time. The harvest period is also very important; Miletea’s classic green tea is a first flush, meaning that we get the best leaves from the very start of the growing season. While enjoying your cuppa, pay attention to the tiny little pellets dancing before you in your cup! Boiling water causes them to open slowly and gracefully sink to the bottom.
