From Mountain Stream Teas

Another beautiful, delicate tea that has been bitten by the green leaf hopper early enough in the season to create the sensual sweet honey notes that the name implies. This one was processed with even greater care than usual to create a tea to be used in tea competitions. The pick is smaller, the bug bites more and the flavor profile is higher and lighter creating a much more etherial drinking experience.

Competition style teas are usually much more expensive than the normal stuff and their value as ‘better’ can be subjective. This particular tea only won 4th place, which isn’t a big win for this particular farm, hence why we can get this tea at an affordable price compared to other teas of this calibre. If a tea wins the competition, it can sell for much more than 1$ a gram, which in our opinion is a crazy price for fresh tea. This tea is expensive compared to the regular production, but we think it is well within a good price/value range. For those that want to understand what a competition tea tastes like, this is a great opportunity to try some without breaking the bank(too much)!

Like all our teas, there are no added flavors, colors or chemicals in this tea. All flavors are completely natural and additive-free!
