Harvest Orange Spice

Black Tea by Octavia Tea

All of the elements of a pie baked fresh on a brisk autumn evening find their way into this spiced black tea. Exotic cardamom and clove are married with ginger, cinnamon and clementine orange in this rich, flavorful blend. Wonderful with a touch of milk and sugar.

This one smells very spicy and orange…so…I under infused for a change…only about 2 minutes. I didn’t want the spice to over power everything else. With the under infusion it seemed to work out quite well and and I am VERY impressed with this. I suppose next time I could infuse longer now that I am not afraid of the spice in this. The orange is lovely! Juicy! Citrus! I like this a lot.

SIPDOWN and gone!

Had one hot and one cold today! YUM!

Clementines! YUM!!!!
The spice was spicier than I remember it but it was still good!

This is a very delicious blend of tea, fruit and spice. The tea is brisk and alive with flavor. Surprisingly strong tea flavor when considering the other flavors that are represented in this blend.

The spices are pleasant – not too heavy – and provide a really nice accent to the juicy sweet orange flavor. Very autumnal, this blend, and it makes me long for the cool, crisp air and the colors of fall!

This smells just like another tea that I’ve had…for the life of me, I can’t think of which tea that was. I’m not sure it bodes well for this tea…

I taste the spices…sadly, the one I’m picking up on most is the licorice. Not noticing any cinnamon or ginger, but I am getting the cardamom (note: licorice and cardamom are two of my least favorite spices). The tea is there as well (and surprisingly strong for a 3 minute steep and the amount of spices added), but the orange really isn’t coming out for me. Maybe in the aftertaste…but even then, I’m having to hunt for it.

It’s just okay for me. If you like licorice, then it’s something you might want to try.

Very very spicy and the orange oil is there too. I wouldn’t say it reminds me of pie at all. This would probably be good as a latte. I’m not really feeling it that much right now but I have a feeling I would love it in the fall.
