Yixing brewed with multiple infusions. I found this one to be smooth as described but overall I was not too impressed with it. Sure it is a good tasting and mid-range quality ripe puerh cake, but I’ve had a lot that were better.
Menghai Gongting Pu-erh Tea Cake (勐海宫廷七子饼)
‘Gongting’ grade is also known as ‘Imperial’ or ‘Royal’ grade. Mostly consisting with highly selective golden tips, it is regarded as the very top level.
This is the latest acquisition we made in 2009 for the ripe Pu-erh cake, it stands out from a dozen candidates. We were impressed by its pretty look, a smooth taste and overall value.
