From PuerhShop.com

A 2009 first flush early Spring tea from Jiancheng, the only green tea we bought during our 2009 tea trip.

Extremely palatable, it is that good.

Yunnan known primarily for its black and Pu-erh teas, Yunnan province also produces some fascinating green teas – such as this beautifully made silver tip variety. The flavor is full, rich, smooth and distinctively fruity. The da yeh (large leaf) Yunnan tea buds produce multiple fragrant infusions.Yunnan premium Silver Thread may be prepared in a regular teapot, a traditional steeping cup (known as a gaiwan), or in individual teacups.

Do not use the boiling water to scald the tea leaves! Allow 1 to 2 tsp. of tea leaves per cup (8oz) of water. Cover with water no hotter than 70C, (158F) and allow to steep for 2 to 3 min.

I used to dig green tea but haven’t had nice plain green tea for a while, so I might be a tad biased or weird on this.

I heated the water until it was hot but not boiling, but I didn’t actually check its temperature or anything. It worked just fine, though, so…yeah. I brewed it and strained it into my mug. It was very nice. So…green. That’s all I can think of. It was all the things I used to love about green tea, and it reminded me why I had liked green tea. Very tasty. If I think of just how to describe it in more detail (it’s so hard to find the words, but I loved it), I’ll probably log it again. Would be worth getting in the future.

This log brought to you by the man who sent me a sample of this. Thanks, John!

Brewed in a gaiwan, I found the Yunnan Silver Thread has some complex flavors in it. My first impression was wanting to day that it was light and sweet almost like white tea but then I picked up on the richer fruity taste that was also in the mix.
