From PureAromaTea

Apple and Mango is an exquisitely refreshing, delicately sweet combination. The rich but subtle, faintly peppery flavour of the mango is balanced with the pleasant, invigorating sharpness of the apple. This delicious flavour combination can be perfectly appreciated with China Congou black tea.

To brew, put one rounded tsp of Apple and Mango Tea per person in a pot or Mug Infuser. Add fresh, boiling water. Brew for 4 mins and serve without milk.

This is a pleasant and inoffensive tea. The base is smooth, but doesn’t really stand out, and the fruit is good: naturally tasty without loads of artificial flavourings etc.

I’ll have to order samples from them some time as I’ve been happy with what I’ve had!

Thanks Sil!

Oh and it’s my birthday and I ended up getting the new Kindle Paperwhite and I just want to go home re-organize my entire digital library because I’m cool like that. :P But I am working instead, and will watch the Hobbit later with friends and eat ice cream cake. I’ve got all weekend to organize my books. (Well realistically, I have the next few years to do that unless I break it). I absolutely LOVE that I can add books/fanfic to it just by emailing it. I was considering the Kobo but that feature is an absolute must for me.

Guys – I am SO spoiled. :)

OMGsrsly

You caved! Haha. I hope you love your new reading device, and have a wonderful day. :)

Cavocorax

I caved and I have NO regrets so far. :P Now I’m just getting the old one ready so I can pass it on to someone else who might enjoy it.

OMGsrsly

:D I usually read on my iPad since I’m reading so many journal articles still, but I can see how a Kindle would be nice.

Lilysmom

Happy Birthday! I am tempted by the paperwhite too! I remember waiting and waiting for the first ever Kindle to be available in Canada ( as an aside, Kindles were available in the Congo, before they were available in Canada). The very first day they were online for Canada, I ordered. I don’t use my old kindle much now – a new paperwhite would be lovely! Your plans for birthday shopping and new tea and work clothes sound great – you sound like me! If you also like spa visits and cats (!) then I think we are related….a sistah from another mistah?…. Maybe…..anyway Happy Birthday! Sounds like a very nice day!

Fjellrev

Happy happy happy birthday to you, Cavo! I’m so happy to hear you got your Paperwhite. :)

Tabby

Happy birthday!!

Chelle

Happy birthday! It’s nice to feel spoiled sometimes.

Tealizzy

Happy belated birthday!! I love that you watched the Hobbit for your birthday! ;)

Cavocorax

Thanks everyone! I’ve been so distracted with organizing the Paperwhite and messing with Calibre but I’m loving it. :D

Another decent afternoon type tea from purearoma. I find this much more mango than i do apple but again, this is a smooth tea with a pleasant taste that doesn’t overwhelm anything. I don’t love the taste of this one, but i think that’s personal preference more than it’s that the taste is wrong. There is a floral note in here that detracts from the taste. I think i likely need to order some straight teas from purearoma since i’m finding that the base to their flavoured teas sits well with me. I’d be interested in finding out how they stand on their own.

I needed a bit of a pick me up and I was craving something fruity but not overly desert like so I decided to try this tea. It delivers well on the first part after a cup I am pleasantly buzzing.

The dry tea consists of a nice dark congou blended with calendula petals and dried fruit. It brews to a nice maple colour. The scent of the tea very much reminds me of this peach apricot tea that I have:
http://steepster.com/teas/big-active/35473-essence-tea-yunnan-with-peach-and-apricot. However while the Posti tea is kind of rugged this one has a much smoother and subtle base and a lighter flavouring.

The tea smells more of mango than apple. It smells faintly peppery with a hint of that slightly starchy fruity scent that mangoes can have. The Mango becomes even more distinct as it cools with some bright accents peaking through from the apple

The tea base is very smooth with a slight hint of dark chocolate malt underneath a dominant top note that is very bright and light which melds with a mango note and something that is almost floral. The apple is not distinct but it might be contributing to the floral hint and helps to prevent the mango from becoming heavy and overly sweet. This tea is easily drinkable, but not heavily flavoured. The peppery notes become more distinct as you drink the cup. It has an interesting slightly raisiny aftertaste. A pleasant afternoon tea.
