I got it just exactly right this time: brew was sweet and grassy and perfect. 1.5 teaspoons per cup, steeped for 45 seconds in water at 73C.
Shincha (新茶), literally `new tea`, represents the first month’s harvest of Sencha. This first harvest leaf is picked in April and prized for its high vitamin content, sweetness and superior flavour. The flavour is full, robust, grassy and vegetal with a resinous aroma and minimal astringency.
