White Matcha Organic

Matcha White Tea by Red Leaf Tea

Usually when you hear the word Matcha, you automatically think about Green Tea. Well, we have put a spin on the Matcha name and technique with our White Matcha. White Matcha is made in exactly the same way as regular Green Tea Matcha is made: stone ground to a fine powder. But we have done it with White Tea. Why would we offer you a White Matcha? For people who like Matcha Tea in its original form as a Green Tea, you know how flavorful and pure it is. We want to give that to all tea lovers. Whether you like Green Tea, Black Tea, White Tea or any other kind of tea, we want you to experience the Matcha in different flavors.

What does stone grinding do for tea leaves? It is quite simple. This is special process that does not take away from the flavor or take away any of the health benefits of original tea leaves. Basically with the stone grinding process, you are getting the highest quality tea in its purest form outside of just having straight from the tea tree. It is simple and straightforward, leaving tea leaves with tons of flavor and amazing healthful qualities.

White Tea has some wonderful qualities to help maintain good health. In essence, White Matcha contains those same qualities with a purer taste. The health benefits of White Matcha include:

High antioxidant count to kill free radicals in the blood stream Reduces the risk of certain types of cancer Decreases fine lines and wrinkles in the skin Helps maintain a beautiful complexion Has only one percent (1%) caffeine content of coffee

As you can see, there are many great qualities of White Matcha that will help you everyday. What is the flavor of amazing White Matcha? Its flavor is quite mild with a vague natural sweetness. It is lightly malty and does not have a grassy taste like some teas do. White Tea is delicate with a slight perfume-like taste.

White Matcha is a great tea and our White Matcha is of the best quality and is one of the most competitively priced. We offer many varieties of Matcha Tea for you to enjoy. Try us today and you will not go back to any of the other tea companies again.

My last matcha for today…will pick up again on Monday with the matcha…

BUT

I have been WAITING for a white matcha!! I HAVE to try this NOW!!!!!

This is a light brown/grey in color powder-wise…once mixed with water it’s a murky brown in color.

DRY…this smells amazing! Pure! Once mixed with water it doesn’t really have a distinct aroma.

As I sip all I can think about is how pure this is and how mouth watering and true to the white tea this is…it’s amazing!

The flavor is wonderful! Since I haven’t seen other white matchas or tried them yet and because I am enjoying this one so much I am going to rate it at 100. That could change – but for now it sticks!

ATTN TEA WORLD – Bring out MORE White Matcha, will you!?

Okay…I’m drinking this one JUST FOR Azzrian – she wanted to know about Red Leaf’s White matcha…well, I have tried this before…see previous notes. It’s been a while…TOO LONG, actually. Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this Matcha!

Yeah… it’s probably a bit too late to be sipping on Matcha. But… I thought… hey maybe I’ll be alright with it since its WHITE Matcha. But, I’m already feeling myself getting that burst of GO.

This is really good. I’ve tried a couple of white Matcha teas in the past, but this one is definitely the best that I’ve tried. The others all had the same problem … they tasted too bitter… but this one is delightful. It has a pleasant sweetness and really no bitterness to speak of. Smooth and creamy and rich. YUMMMMM!

This marks the second white matcha that has graced my miso soup bowl. Red Leaf’s smelled like…well…white tea – mildly nutty but floral. As for flavor, there really isn’t much to say beyond a simple word, “Awesome.” It was smooth from the start, never presenting a vegetal kick-back like some regular matchas do.

So I’m not quite sure why I bought this white matcha, unflavoured anyway. White tea and I do not have the best of relationships going and this is like super concentrated white tea.

The smell is quite like old grass and hay, like the hay bales we used to have in my backyard when I lived in Massachusetts and my Dad had our yard flattened so we could build a plastic and wood skating rink in the backyard. The hay bales held down the plastic around the edges. Mice also lived in them. Hay is not my favourite thing. Those skating rinks were awesome, pretty big too, like 90′ × 30′ in size. Fun in the winter.

This matcha I made up as a latte with a bit more sugar than normal because I’m kind of afraid to drink it. The smell is very bleh. The taste…isn’t as bad as I thought. Still very much ‘white tea’ and a tad astringent, but I put enough sugar in to compensate I think. It cooled down a lot while I was waffling about drinking it and futzing around on Kickstarter. I don’t know that I like this enough to drink this on its own so I’ll have to have a thought about what I can mix it with to still drink it. Or give it away, I guess. Thoughts?

You can find this matcha here if you so desire and like white tea better than I do: http://www.redleaftea.com/matcha-tea/white-matcha.html

Yum! Just got this today in a swap with Starfevre (thanks!!!) I made myself a mini serving just now with 1/4 tsp, around 2oz water and a half tsp of sugar. It’s good! I like white tea a lot. It will be interesting to try in lattes in the future, I can’t picture how it would taste with the milk or almond milk, but I like it by itself just fine! :D

I got this one with the black matcha. And I like this one less than the black matcha. Straight, I find the white matcha far too astringent (I had an involuntary, physical pucker). Like the black matcha, it’s better in a latte, but the brighter taste of the black matcha works better against the milk.
