Backlog:

I had some of this tea earlier today. I had enough left over in my pot to chill some too, and had that with my dinner, and it is excellent iced as well as hot. The rose is strong, but the bergamot is equally as strong. The rose brings out some of the floral qualities of the citrus fruit. It has a perfumed taste without tasting like a bottle of cheap perfume, if that makes sense. It is heady and aromatic, and has a very exotic taste to it, rich and luxurious and feminine. A very fine Rose Earl Grey.

I love rose earl greys, and I’ve tried quite a few but this just happened to be the one I brought with me while at my parents’ house. Honestly, I just kind of grabbed a bunch of samples and threw them in a bag together! Good thing, since it seems like I am going to be here for a while so I’m well stocked on tea. This is from my box from LiberTEAS I believe!

This is a nicely balanced rose EG, with a strong black base and soft cirtus notes from the bergamot. The rose is subtle and not overpowering, and a lot less strong than I thought it would be. I really like strong rose flavors, so this didn’t entirely deliver on that front but it was still a lovely cup!

I don’t know why I am hesitant to drink Rose flavored teas…I assume they are going to be bitter from all the rose petals…but that is rarely the case.

This is very nice!

It’s everything you would expect from a Rose EG! It’s intensely scented and the flavor is ‘just right’ once it hits the tongue.

It’s juicy and floral – and it meets in the middle wonderfully!

Thank you Alphakitty! I decided this would be a nice tea to go with lunch. I have never had a rose earl grey but it’s delicious! I love anything with rose in it. It’s such a nice flavor. I’m always hesitant on earl grey teas because I find them overpowering for some reason, but this one is very well balanced. The rose and bergamot blend well together. I really enjoyed this! Thank you again!!
