Black Tea by Ringtons

A dark, strong and malty tea –
A house blend of Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings (BOPF) and Golden Broken Orange Pekoe (GBOP) leaves. Very much akin to special black teas used in the early 1900s.

This tea reminds me of the tea i used to drink at my aunts many many years ago when I was quite young. Its exactly how it’s described by the blenders Ringtons – strong, dark and malty. I drink it without milk or sugar – as I do with all teas. One spoon full of tea to a pot is quite enough for drinking it “neat”. It has a deliciously long after taste. Hard to obtain sadly – mail order only unless you live in the North of England where they actually deliver it to your door.
