From RiverTea

Are you ready to take in the sights of a rolling green countryside and bathe in the golden light of the Tuscan sun? We have your Italian getaway planned for you, right down to the flavor. The base of this Tuscan Sun blend is a fantastic white tea from the Fujian province of China, beautifully mixed with olive leaves grown in the lush vegetation of Italy, where stretches of orchards pave the way for this distinctive tea to be enjoyed. The delicate sweetness of carefully selected white tea is wrapped with the mellow essence of olive leaves, a hint of juicy sweet strawberry and mango, and a toss of camomile and sunflower blooms.

Ingredients: White tea, Apple bits, Flavourings, Santal, Camomile blossoms, Raspberry bits, Sunflower blossoms.

MJy final RiverTea, gone forever. I used the last of this leaf up for today’s cold brew. I’m glad I tried it this way, because the flavours come out much more clearly than they do hot. Wonderful, sweet, strawberry awesomeness. A very sad sipdown :(

Thank you for the teas a while back, Beorhthraefn! I’ve come to expect most River Teas delicious. Another sad loss in tea companies this year. There have been so many! This big leafy bai mu dan has plenty of fruit pieces and a chamomile blossom that landed in my infuser. River Tea usually delivers on their promised flavors. On the great tasting base, I was getting hints of strawberry and pineapple, maybe not so much mango which is a shame because there aren’t nearly enough mango teas! This one is tasty. I’ve tried a few more River Teas since they’ve closed and I really wish I was able to buy some before they closed… of course the problem then would be too many to choose from!

I feel the same way about RiverTea.

R.I.P. RiverTea; you are missed!! :(

Part of me is glad I stalled on trying them because now I’m not pining for anything. But it’s still so sad that they’re gone.

SIpdown! (213)
This is a sampel Sil and I shared from our last order.
It was nice and light and summery; fruity and a little sweet, but mild. Oh, so mild.
I liked it but my cupboard has no room for another white tea like this when I have Mulberry White!

I received my second box of RiverTeas today and figured i would try all the samples they sent me since that would mean not having to add them to my cupboard since the other half is going over to Cavocorax since it was a joint order :) This one isn’t bad…it’s not as strawberry as i want it to be, but the base isn’t overly bitter and does still come through. It’s more mango than anything, and in my world, that’s not a bad thing…but i did want more strawberry :)
