Enchanted Forest

Green Tea by Sereni Tea

An invigorating green tea, paired with mate with a great almond/coconut flavor. Wonderful for the winter season.

One of the highlights of my recent trip to Mount Shasta was discovering this adorable and incredibly well stocked tea store! Talk about a pleasant surprise, I was not expecting anything like this in such a small town.

Here is the website if you want to check them out:

We did try to limit ourselves to a few small selections and this was one of them. Ordinarilly this is not something I would have picked out for myself but they were giving away free tastings and thus, I became hooked.

This is a blend of green tea (I believe a sencha), mate, coconut, “flavoring” (smells very strongly of almond extract), rose petals and cornflower blossoms.

It is a slightly sweet tea and the coconut and almonds really made it for me. This was a great thing for the cold mountain weather and got me all prepared to brave the snow (kind of). Recommended!

a nice blend for the afternoon, I see other sellers have this same tea so I guess it comes from a wholesaler somewhere? I like it (see previous notes)!

The morning cuppa… not a bad green tea/mate blend although it is a bit on the sweet side… see my previous notes

Tea of the morning here, hoping the mate will help to wake me up… not happy about it being a Monday. I cold brewed this tea last night and then warmed it up. I like the coconut here, it also works well with soymilk.

Also I managed a new blog post if anyone wants to read it: http://sanfrantea.teatra.de/2012/09/23/capital-teas-and-a-quick-trip-to-d-c/
