Premium Huang Shan Mao Feng 2012

Green Tea by Seven Cups

Mao Feng tea is well known for its freshness relative to other green teas, and our Premium Huang Shan Mao Feng is no exception. One bud and two leaves are picked in the middle of April resulting in bigger buds and leaves that produce a fresh green color. While our Imperial Huang Shan Mao Feng has a mild flavor, this tea has a stronger flavor and is perfect for a good quality everyday green tea.

Refreshing! Can rebrew many times.

I need to get another bag and try this tea again.

After brewing this tea with a normal 2-3 minute teapot method I wasn’t that impressed. It was too mild and I didn’t quite get it. After seeing Seven Cups video on Facebook about brewing in a glass and just keeping the leaves in the water I was much more impressed with this tea. It doesn’t get bitter and seemingly doesn’t really oversteep.
