This has been sitting in my “samples, drink me first!” bowl for several weeks. I don’t know why I have been passing it over. It’s really good! Just yummy, sugary, vanilla-y black tea-ness.

Oh that reminds me of a funny. We were having a canned peas versus frozen peas discussion with our daughters. My husband likes frozen but the girls like canned. My husband said that the canned ones don’t taste much like “pea-ness” – hilarity ensued. You might have to say it out loud to get the joke.

Sometimes the brain is just a tiny bit slower than the mouth… :D That being said, I also do not like canned vegetables. They taste weird!

MMm, I do love creme brulee! However, the last 2 weeks I’ve done a big diet overhaul with calorie counting madness. With that said, I need to keep my desserts in check even more. WIth this tea, the main flavor is the black base, with a light burnt sugar taste with a creamy texture.
For a black tea drinker wanting a little sweet hit, this is the tea. I was hoping / expecting something closer to DavidsTea Creme brulee, which has a much stronger flavor.

Hope your diet goes well… I’m having a hard time getting started.. Ugh. I’m sure dessert teas will be a staple when I finally get the motivation.

I added milk to this today and it just made it super creamy and rich and hazelnutty.

I’m also totally skipping work today bc our bear is sick (AGAIN) and I was going to work from home but she got me sick and now she’s watching Despicable Me 2 and crawling into a blanket fort and I’m sipping tea and using two laptops at the same time so I can scroll the tumblrs, and watch SPN and keep up on Steepster but my brain can’t handle it all.

Time for another cup.

I’m at 210 teas!!!!

Nooooooooo!
(That’s ok. Those tiny little samples are the best for work. Then all my tins can stay here)

I wish I had more to send your way but I don’t buy from as many different places that you do. And then when I do get something neat and different, Terry or someone else does too! (Like the Hugo teas)

Backlog:

This is from my fifth installment of the customized subscription service that I had from Simple Loose Leaf. I have since switched it up to the New Selection Club … and I LOVE this new club. It’s awesome.

I really like this tea too. Creme Brulee is my favorite dessert, and so when I see a tea that is creme brulee, I want to try it. Not all teas manage to capture the thing that makes a custard creme brulee though – that yummy caramelized sugar topping. This one DOES.

It has a sweet, custard-y, vanilla flavor that melds nicely with the robust black tea, and then the flavor of the caramelized sugar sort of weaves its way in and out of the sip.

Strong, malty, and yummy!

This was my other flavoured tea from this morning. It’s also one of the teas terri and i picked up from Awkward Soul I have to say that this one smells strong, and has a really nice aroma. I’m not sure that i’d call it creme brulee exactly…but it’s delicious smelling. Upon brewing it, there’s a nice rich taste to this, though again…creme brulee? not really. It’s missing that sweet burnt sugar sort of taste in my opinion but it IS pretty tasty. hopefully Cavo will like this, and if not, she can continue the sharing tea! hahaha
