This is a pretty odd tisane… it kind of reminds me of that “orange drink” we used to get at field day during elementary school. But it has this weird herbal backdrop to it. The first time I tried it I didn’t add sweetener, but after re-reading the sample packet I noted that it advised a little sugar as an addition. I tried it and now I’m in the land of artificial orange flavored water. I’m not going to pour out the cup of tea, but I keep shmecking after each sip- and not in a good way. Oh fruit tisanes, you can go so wrong…orange in particular.

I typically can’t stand this one- it’s like drinking warm ‘mixed fruit’ juice. But I’ve just discovered that it’s pretty good iced. Cold, the orange becomes more tart and just slightly bitter. The backdrop of red fruity pieces actually peps this up a bit. It’s like enjoying a refreshing glass of cold juice, but without the cloying sweetness- not saying I’ll buy this again, but it’s got at least one good use.
