I received a package (plus) of this from Samantha today!!!! Thanks Samantha! It’s a somewhat mild strength/flavored black tea with strawberries and creami-ness to it. It smells every bit of the name! Lovely to sniff!!!! Very malty and creamy to taste, too. This is a pretty good flavored tea and I am very glad that Samantha sent me some to try! Thanks again!

Tasting the black tea with the strawberries but no cream today…I have a feeling I’m not in the mood for black teas this morning…maybe I will switch to others quicker than usual???

Tasted pretty good today…see previous reviews…

This is one of my favorite fruity teas. Be careful: I first steeped it too long, and this particular blend does not do well with oversteeping. The aftertaste was bitter and overwhelming. That said, if you steep it for only 3-5 minutes, it is heavenly! The strawberry flavor kicks in about halfway through the sip, and lingers nicely. I like this with a healthy serving of sugar or honey and a splash of milk. I think this is an especially great tea for new drinkers.

I got a small pack of this, and now I wish I had ordered a bigger batch because it’s almost gone. I drink my tea with a splash of light soy milk and splenda. The taste of this tea brings me right back to childhood when I used to drink Nestle strawberry-flavored milk. So yummy! This tea tastes like a special treat!

The first cup from my second order from SpecialTeas. This smells AMAZING, just like freeze-dried strawberries. The cream flavor comes out when steeped, but it’s not too rich or overwhelming. I like the base of this better than whatever is used for Adagio’s flavored blacks, too. A keeper.

Such a delicious flavored black tea. As I said in my last tasting note for this, I like whatever SpecialTeas uses as a black base better than whatever Adagio uses (Ceylon, I think?). This tastes and smells like freeze-dried strawberries, with a sweet hint of cream. My sample’s all gone, so I might order more.

Not overly impressed with this, although black flavored teas almost never seem to wow me. This one gave me a bit of a dry mouth-feel, and tasted only slightly of sweet strawberry, but mostly of darjeeling? black tea. Next time, I’ll try steeping it 2 minutes rather than 3. I also tried my large cup with and without unsweetened vanilla almond milk- it didn’t actually make much of a difference either way. The tea smelled so good in the bag and while steeping that I was a bit disappointed not to like it.

Enh? Still not really digging on this one… the sweetness doesn’t stand a chance in the face of the black tea’s bitterness. I may try mixing it in a little bit with something else – a tisane perhaps. Lightly berry black tea is all I get. I wish the cream stood out more.

As far as black flavored teas go, this one is pretty good. The black tea doesn’t overwhelm the strawberry. The strawberry flavor is strong in the aftertaste. But, even though I only brewed it for 2 1/2 minutes, it seems pretty bitter. I definitely had to add some soy creamer to this to combat the bitterness (but I can still taste it). This was a sample. I don’t think I’ll order more of this. I think that I don’t like it as much because I am comparing it to their Strawberry Cream Fruit Melange which was awesome.

Update – lowering my rating as I threw the rest away when I finished this cup.
