From SpecialTeas

Our new Wuyi Mao Feng has everything you could ask for in a solid everyday China green. The young, tippy leaves yield a rich golden-green infusion with brisk, clean flavor and aroma. It’s naturally sweet and stunningly fruity with pronounced peach-apricot notes. An incredible value – and it’s certified organic!

Recommendations: Tips: Use 1 level tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water until steaming (170°F); let steep 2 min.

Upping the rating a bit. These buttery-sweet notes really grow on me… the more I drink it the more I like it.
The second infusion is surprisingly good although less sweet and a tiny bit astringent.

when i first tried this i was pretty disappointed, but i was just guesstimating on the temperature. after getting a thermometer and using the recommended temp it was quite an improvement. the wet leaves have a very strong vegetal smell, almost off-putting but the liquor does not have the same intensity. it is an enjoyable green tea, especially considering the price.

Very sweet and full-bodied. Pretty much a perfect green.

Slightly fruity with a hint of cut grass and pleasant, fresh but mild taste. Very easy to drink but not really a lot of character. A couple China greens I’ve tried are really enjoyable, but some I find difficult to distinguish when tasting.

Got 2 steeps out of this at about 2 and 3 minutes. I didn’t really know what to expect here, thought it would be sort of boring but it’s definitely not. Both infusions are really good – slightly vegetal and slightly fruity. The leaves are very good quality with lots of golden tips.
