Not all chamomile teas are created the same. Whenever I need something to knock me out for the night, I turn to Stash’s Chamomile Tea. For some reason, it’s more potent in its effects compared to other brands.

I find the aroma of this tea very strong—a musky flowery smell which almost overwhelms the senses as if one is trapped in a chamomile warehouse. It also tastes rather musky, but in a rather pleasant way. It’s the beckoning finger of the sandman, promising a night of undisturbed rest.

And unlike a lot of other things, it actually delivers on that promise.

Recommended as: an alternative to a sleeping pill
Brewing suggestions: boiling water/1 teabag per 1 cup water/steep 5 min

I bought this tea to help me sleep (if you’ve seen my other notes, you may have noticed that I have trouble sleeping and turn to a variety of bedtime teas for help). I like chamomile, but this one is just too strong for my taste. I agree with Syaffolee that it has a strong musky scent. I just find it overwhelming. Steeping it for only a couple of minutes helps, but not much. I far prefer the H&S chamomile. It has a much lighter scent and flavor while still making me sleepy.

I used 1 teabag in 16 ounces of boiling water, steeped for 2-3 minutes.

When I’m restless after a day doing whatever, this tea helps calm me down. When I can’t sleep correctly at night, it also helps in that area. I’ve also used this tea as a remedy for a sore throat and it works fabulously.

I’m a bit of an insomniac, so this tea is great for helping me get to sleep at a reasonable time. Adding honey helps to amplify the nice flowery flavor as well.

I think all chamomiles taste the same… definitely not a chamomile connoisseur.

I think Stash Chamomile is the best Chamomile that I have had to date. In terms of how chamomile teas go I would describe this one as being lighter smooth and sweet with a slightly less intense floral taste as others. It is amazing in how much of a difference there can be in dried chamomile flowers from one brand to another.

My throat was hurting so I made some of this. Added some honey and milk as always. I love the taste of this tea, it’s so calming and smooth.
